Plants and Animals will release La La Land on April 20 via Secret City. It’s the Montreal-based indie-pop outfit’s second full-length, following 2008′s Parc Avenue.
Right now, they’re promoting the new album with an ambitions music video for the song “The Mama Papa.” It’s one chaotic theatrical production, complete with finely attired ladies and gents, dialogue spoken in French, a sinister magician character, and a kid who causes some ruckus when it’s time to take a bath. Federico Fellini would have approved.
Plants and Animals will tour Canada this spring, in addition to making an appearance at SXSW. Further dates will soon follow.
