Now that we’ve had our fill of cute for the day, it’s time for something a little more sinister. This head-fuck of a video comes courtesy of bassist Darin Gray and Wilco drummer Glenn Kotche, who record some experimental rock together under the name On Fillmore and released a fourth full-length, Extended Vacation, last fall.
“Master Moon” is off that album. It’s a hypnotic instrumental number that’s quite percussion-heavy and gives Kotche plenty of space to show off his chops behind the kit. According to the Dead Oceans site, the time-lapse video for the song “captures the isolation of life whist on perpetual tour (on Venus).”
Kotche, naturally, would know a thing or two about living on the road.
