We were worried the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday and subsequent days off work would make everyone a little too happy this week. Thank God Fever Ray mastermind Karin Dreijer Andersson turned up with a new video, for the track “Keep the Streets Empty,” and took our elevated moods down a few notches (in the best possible way, mind).
A master of the sinister, noir-esque landscape (both musically and visually), Dreijer delivers another video of shadowy frames and ominous beatscapes. And yes, the streets in this post-apocalyptic montage are mostly empty (Via P4K).
The triple-disc deluxe package of Fever Ray is out today via Mute and includes the album, two covers, a live CD, and a DVD.
