Dawes has been on what seems, at least according to their mountain of Twitter updates, a non-stop tour since early winter. Frontman Taylor Goldsmith managed a few minutes away from the road recently though, to stop by the HQ of music/art site Say Mayday, where he performed an acoustic rendition of “My Girl to Me,” off the band’s debut album, North Hills. A rather soothing number, this one, best played at the end of a long day.
The full band, meanwhile, is still on tour and will continue their travels through the rest of the summer. They’ll support Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros in June before heading on to play with Justin Townes Earl, then Cory Chisel & the Wandering Sons.
