Starship’s “We Built This City” wasn’t necessarily the song we’d guess Cursive would choose to cover when they graced the AV Club offices to take part in the “Undercover” series, but Tim Kasher and Co. proved us all wrong by tearing through the 1985 mega-hit and owning it start to finish. “We saw that was clearly far and beyond the best song selection on all the songs sent,” says Kasher. “So we snagged it before anyone else would.” The band even added a strobe light to the performance, operated by none other than AV Club associate editor, Kyle Ryan.
