The AV Club did the impossible and nabbed the inimitable Jim O’Rourke last week for an interview, something worth mentioning here, since O’Rourke rarely partakes in such in-depth chat sessions.
The man known for his work with Sonic Youth, Wilco, Stereolab, Joanna Newsom, Beth Orton, and many, many more spoke from his home in Tokyo about his new album, The Visitor, potential perils in digital recording, and learning to play the trombone.
