<p>We&#8217;ve heard rumors of a new album from the trio for a while, and all speculation can now cease, as we&#8217;ve got the official word that <a href="http://www.cryptogramophone.com/" target="_blank">Cryptogramophone</a> will unleash <em>Initiate</em> on April 13.</p>
<p>The double-disc offering documents a three-day recording session at Berkeley&#8217;s Fantasy Studios, as well as a live concert at San Francisco&#8217;s Cafe du Nord, where Nels and Co. were joined onstage by members of Deerhoof. The album is available for pre-order right now. </p>
