The original version is a slowly unfolding array of gentle synths and electronics of the minor chord persuasion. Silberman’s reworking speeds up the tempo and throws some crispy, clicky beats beneath Makrigiannis’ vocals, though the minimal nature of the track is largely kept intact. Listen to it right now.

This is for the White in Your Eyes is out on Ghostly. The single version of “Claustrophobia” will drop March 9.

“Bear” is off the band’s gorgeous debut album, Hospice, and the song’s video follows a girl clad in rags as she maneuvers a cart around a desolate, landscape that’s reminiscent at times of last year’s sepia-toned, post-apocolyptic pic, The Road.
