Ten years ago, London’s Wichita Recordings rolled out its very first release, Bright Eyes Fevers and Mirrors. That now-famed opus that gave Conor Oberst his reputation (for better and worse, mind) is, appropriately, one of the albums that the label will re-release as part of its 10-year anniversary celebrations, which include a handful of vinyl re-issues and some live performances to boot.

Gigolo Records boss DJ Hell originally teamed up with Bryan “The Electric Lounge Lizard” Ferry in 2006, when talk of remixing an old Roxy music track surfaced.
Seems the project assumed a little more depth during the last few years, with the aforementioned song turning into a nine-minute head-fuck of a track that features Bryan Ferry singing over Hell’s dark, twisted disco production. The song originally appeared on Hell’s Teufelswerk release. Now it gets the singles treatment.
The newly repackaged “U Can Dance” will arrive as not one, but seven different versions, including remixes by Carl Craig, Simian Mobile Disco, and DFA’s Tim Goldsworthy.
