Jarvis Cocker showed up in Wes Anderson’s new stop-animation film, Fantastic Mr. Fox, this fall, as the voice of Petey. Now, the inimitable Brit icon goes back to appearing as himself, in the video for the title track off his ’09 album, Further Complications.

He gives us pretty standard Jarvis fare here, with lots of sudden, you might even say spastic, dance moves and over-exaggerated facial expressions that get boxed, diced, folded, and sliced during the course of the video.

Lindstrøm to Make 40-Minute Version of “Little Drummer Boy”

Lindstrøm is already giddy with holiday spirit, it seems, as the Norwegian ambassador of nu-disco is said to be hard at work on a rendition of the famous Christmas classic “Little Drummer Boy.”

Many would classify the Christmas jam as “traditional,” but they’ll probably want to rethink that label once this new version hits stores. Lindstrøm has promised a 40-minute-long version of the song, so expect some super-extended synth lines and analog interludes to happen. This is, after all, the guy whose last album, Where You Go, I Go Too, included a title track nearly 29 minutes long.

The reworked “Little Drummer Boy” will be packaged with Lindstrøm’s forthcoming new album, Real Life is No Cool. It will go on sale in December, exclusively through Rough Trade‘s Album Club, site, and stores.
