Here is the video for the record’s track “High Ground,” which features an almost mythical black-and-white landscape of trees, full-moons, and girls clad in white (Via Popwreckoning).

Fink, meanwhile, recently shared some thoughts on the Haiti disaster, which you can read here. She maintains a close relationship to the country, which she has traveled to several times and drew heavy inspiration from on her first solo album, 2005′s Invisible Ones.

She’s favoring a much more stripped-down style of songwriting these days, pulling from traditional folk and Southern Gothic music that showcases her singing nicely. Take a listen to the moody, understated “That Certain-Something Spring.”

Ask the Night is out now on Saddle Creek.
