Conor Oberst hasn’t given us a truly angst-ridden number since 2007′s Cassadega, but after teasing us this last month with news and video clips, the Bright Eyed troubadour finally has released some new material under his much-loved old moniker. “Happy Accident” is bursting with the classic Bright Eyes sounds, complete with chimes, bells, pianos, and those vaguely emo vocals that are, at this point, probably more famous than the man himself.

Listen to the new song here.

It’s off the reissue of One Jug of Wine, Two Vessels, which was a collaboration between Bright Eyes and Neva Dinova in 2004. The new version includes “Happy Accident” and three other brand-new tracks that were recorded last fall. It’s shipping now via Saddle Creek, and hits stores on March 23.
