While we await the rumors to be denied or verified, Murphy and Co. have released a clip in which they are indeed hard at work in the studio, making the aforementioned third album, which has a tentative spring release date.

Meanwhile, the group will tour Europe in April and already have several confirmed overseas dates, as well as an appearance at this year’s Coachella Festival.

LCD Soundsystem’s James Murphy states that “[Fuchs] was one of the only people we all knew who was literally great at what he did,” while Holy Ghost’s Alex Frankel writes, “Jerry was the star of every band he played with and will be painfully missed.”

Elsewhere, Juan Maclean left a lengthy post on his site praising both Fuchs’ musical prowess and his friendship: “Jerry was one of my best and most loyal friends. He was hands-down the best drummer I have ever played with or seen for that matter.”

DFA label manager, Jonathan Galkin, also expressed sadness. “You were a really good drummer… but you were a greater friend,” he states. “I love you and miss you.”
