Almost. James Murphy and Co. will release their yet-to-be-titled new album on May 18 via DFA. While we await the day, Pitchfork has a track off the release that’s up and streaming right now. “Drunk Girls” is typical LCD Soundsystem fare, with Murphy delivering his trademark half-sung, half-spoken lyrics over a charge of guitars and lots of (seemingly) drunken shouting.

Of course there are a number of live shows planned around the album’s release, and between April and September, the band is, from the looks of it, aiming to play every festival in the entire world. Catch the madness at one of these dates:

LCD Soundsystem’s James Murphy states that “[Fuchs] was one of the only people we all knew who was literally great at what he did,” while Holy Ghost’s Alex Frankel writes, “Jerry was the star of every band he played with and will be painfully missed.”

Elsewhere, Juan Maclean left a lengthy post on his site praising both Fuchs’ musical prowess and his friendship: “Jerry was one of my best and most loyal friends. He was hands-down the best drummer I have ever played with or seen for that matter.”

DFA label manager, Jonathan Galkin, also expressed sadness. “You were a really good drummer… but you were a greater friend,” he states. “I love you and miss you.”
