Earlier last month, Memphis garage-rock pioneer Jay Reatard passed away at the age of 29. According to The Memphis Commerical Appeal, Reatard—born Jimmy Lindsey Jr.—was found dead in his home. Watch: LCD Soundsystem in the Studio

LCD Soundsystem‘s third album may possibly be their last. At least that’s what James Murphey hinted to NME a couple weeks ago, though he also stated that, when creating an album, “it makes sense to think of it as the last you’ll ever do, because then you make it good.”

While we await the rumors to be denied or verified, Murphy and Co. have released a clip in which they are indeed hard at work in the studio, making the aforementioned third album, which has a tentative spring release date.
