Ten years ago, London’s Wichita Recordings rolled out its very first release, Bright Eyes Fevers and Mirrors. That now-famed opus that gave Conor Oberst his reputation (for better and worse, mind) is, appropriately, one of the albums that the label will re-release as part of its 10-year anniversary celebrations, which include a handful of vinyl re-issues and some live performances to boot.

Earlier last month, Memphis garage-rock pioneer Jay Reatard passed away at the age of 29. According to The Memphis Commerical Appeal, Reatard—born Jimmy Lindsey Jr.—was found dead in his home. The same paper revealed autopsy details today. Shelby County Medical Examiner Dr. Karen E. Chancellor stated that Reatard died from “cocaine toxicity,” and that “alcohol [...]
