While Wilco have spent their post-tour days playing classic psych-folk numbers, songstress Norah Jones has stayed busy covering the Chicago powerhouse itself. Specifically, she performed a version of Yankee Hotel Foxtrot‘s “Jesus, Etc.” recently for Sirius XM, and it can be heard right now (below).
“Jesus, Etc.,” by now, is an undoubted classic in the Wilco cannon, so well known and loved that Tweedy and Co. got the entire audience in Amsterdam’s Paradiso venue to sing it word-for-word at a recent show. Jones’ version is a markedly more stripped-down affair, with the mistress of m-e-l-l-o-w crooning gently over some stark acoustics and little else.

A re-broadcast of Jones’ entire Sirius XM set will be available soon. Check here for updates.
