“Sweatmother” is a new track from Tobacco‘s forthcoming Maniac Meat album, and I dare anyone to try and label this song with a descriptor that doesn’t involve hyphens. A kind of metal-meets-fuzzed-out-psych-hop number, the single is but a hint of what’s to come when the album is released on May 25 via anticon.
Sadly, Beck, who was involved in the making of Maniac Meat, does not appear on this track, though you can look for him on “Fresh Hex” and “Grape Aerosmith” when the album is released. Also worth anticipating is the album packaging, which reportedly features “scratch-n-sniff elements and hairy cases.”
