Not so long ago, M. Ward and Zooey Deschanel announced that a second She & Him album is in the works and slated for a spring release, and now there’s a first listen to what the indie-pop duo has in store for Volume 2.
The album’s first single is streaming over at Pitchfork today. “In the Sun” is the second of 13 tracks on the album and features guest vocals from Omaha pop quintet Tilly and the Wall.
A 7″ version of the single is available for pre-orders now and features a B-side cover of the Beach Boys’ “I Can Hear the Music.”
Volume 2 is out March 23 in the US, via Merge, and April 5 in the UK, via Double Six.
