How did you spend your Halloween? Probably not onstage at the Louisville Palace Theatre, performing while decked out in classic-era Kiss regalia, which is reportedly how the Monsters of Folk passed this year’s holiday.
A show review by the Louisville Courier-Journal states that the supergroup gave an encore both dressed as the famous foursome and performing classic jams like “Detroit Rock City” and “Rock and Roll All Nite.” Throw in Jim James as Gene Simmons and Conor Oberst in eight-inch heels, playing the part of Paul Stanley, and, well, we can only be grateful someone caught the fanfare on camera.
Monsters of Folk wrap a U.S. tour this month and will head to Europe shortly thereafter:
