Finally, the new LCD Soundsytem is here! Almost. James Murphy and Co. will release their yet-to-be-titled new album on May 18 via DFA. While we await the day, Pitchfork has a track off the release that’s up and streaming right now. “Drunk Girls” is typical LCD Soundsystem fare, with Murphy delivering his trademark half-sung, half-spoken lyrics over a charge of guitars and lots of (seemingly) drunken shouting.
Of course there are a number of live shows planned around the album’s release, and between April and September, the band is, from the looks of it, aiming to play every festival in the entire world. Catch the madness at one of these dates:
