High Places will release their sophomore album, High Places vs. Mankind, in early April, and a first listen to the new LP comes courtesy of the folks at Thrill Jockey, in the form of a new track, “On Giving Up.” Stream/download it here.
For the track, Mary Pearson and Rob Barber employed the laidback, dubby vibes so frequently found on their 2008 self-titled debut album. Pearson’s voice is strong and permeates over a multitude of instrumental layers.
According to Thrill Jockey, we can expect a second digital single and a video from to follow this track. In the meantime, check out the duo’s upcoming show dates below.
