It's all fighting, dancing and danger in Gainsbourg's latest video, for the title track off her forthcoming EP.

Charlotte Gainsbourg finds a doppleganger—many of them, actually—in her latest video, “Terrible Angels.” And they dance. In unison. Then fight. Then unpleasant things happen to Gainsbourg, but I’ll not spoil the ending here.

Beck, who produced her 2010 album, IRM, returns for production duty on the track, while Nathalie Canguilhem directed the video.

The song is off her forthcoming EP, also titled Terrible Angels and set for release on September 6 via Because Music/Elektra.

Pitchfork reports that the release will be followed by a double-LP of live and unreleased material set to drop November 8.

It’s been over a year since Crudbump’s Na$tyjam$ became a surprise best seller on Amazon, but the artist also known as Drew is gracing us with a belated bonus pretzel this week via a new music video for album favorite “I Don’t Do Shit.” Watch in bewilderment as the “Saddam of being lazy” joyrides through C-bus, fries an egg, frolics in a penguin mask, and casually enjoys some Wendy’s Natural Cut French Fries.

Join urban sensibilities with the delicate strains of indie-folk and you get Leland Sundries‘ new EP, The Apothecary. And in the video for the track “Elegy,” Nick Loss-Eaton—the man behind the music—and director Scott Variano further tighten the bond between pastoral and metropolitan by venturing into one of New York City’s many hidden oddities—Staten Island’s Tugboat Graveyard.

Thanks to the clip, one doesn’t necessarily have to make the trek to Arthur Kill to get a feel for the collection of long-forgotten boats, barges and ferries floating in their various states of decomposition. Between that montage, which Variano nicely captures on film, and Loss-Eaton’s throaty vocals and easygoing harmonica strains, I almost feel like I’m watching a clip set back in the Deep South.

The Apothecary EP is out now on L’echiquier Records. Pick it up right here.

Take a hint from the ladies dancing in the first half of Caribou’s latest video, for his euphoric track “Sun.”

Really though, these actresses deserve more credit than given through the shameless comparison I’ve drawn. They are just women in their ’50s or ’60s having a good old time. The video takes place in one room, with a blend of folks grooving to a song anyone and everyone should dance to.

Soul revivalist Mayer Hawthorne gets jiggy at the pool side in his latest music video, for the song “Easy Lovin’ Ain’t Pleasin’ Nothin’.” There’s plenty of skin and James Bond-esque gals shakin’ and groovin’, in what I’d call a semi-synchronized shindig of a dance. The song is off Hawthorne’s latest release, A Strange Arrangement, out now via Stones Throw.

The mash-up-style video was, according to an email blast from BSS, made by a fan (who’s chosen to remain anonymous) and features footage from the Toronto riots sliced together with clips of notable political figures. And Justin Bieber somehow made it in there too.
