We’ve seen many incarnations of Conor Oberst over the last number of years, from the emotionally overwrought twenty-something who spawned an entire generation of asymmetrical haircuts to the laid-back singer-songwriter telling tales from the road. And while the latter is more palatable now that I’ve outgrown my black hair-dye phase, today’s news of a forthcoming Bright Eyes album has very intrigued as to what Oberst has up his sleeve this time around.
